Roy Peter Clark from Poynter Institute has posted up 50 tools that can help you when you do any kinds(sic) of writing.

Useful list, remembering all fifty is hard, though. I spend 70% or more of my working hours writing, and I have come across these principles and tricks by practice and by apprenticeship. A list to live by for me!
